Fishing isn't the only adventure you'll find at Fishing Bear Lodge. Eco-Adventuring like river kayaking, hiking, exploring and wildlife photography are all opportunities provided by Fishing Bear's pristine wilderness setting.
The rich ecosystem of the park supports many of Alaska's large animal species including brown bear (grizzly), moose, caribou, black bear, wolverine, lynx and wolf. The smaller wildlife species include beaver, otter, muskrat, fox, mink, weasel, porcupine, marmots and parka squirrels.
Birds nesting in the area include a great variety of waterfowl including swans, numerous bald eagles, golden eagles, gulls, arctic terns, common and arctic loons, spotted and least sandpipers, semi-palmated plover, willow ptarmigan and spruce grouse.
